I believe in Hope. I believe that you are not defined by the things you have experienced. I believe you can learn, grow, and heal even from the darkest of circumstances, events, and messages you have believed which are no longer helpful.
My approach to working with you or your teen is to use a combination of treatments to best meet individual needs.
My specialties are complex trauma, childhood sexual abuse or neglect, anxiety, depression, and young adult life transitions. I work primarily with teens and adults in a variety of settings which have included outpatient, telehealth, school, and group settings. I have extensive knowledge of the foster care system and work with system involved families.
I have been working with clients since 2013, having graduated first from the University of Nebraska at Omaha with a Bachelor of Science of Social Work and graduated with my Master of Social Work from Denver University. Since beginning client work, I have been trained in multiple evidence-based practices to best serve my clients such as Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (TF-CBT), Eye Movement and Desensitization Reprocessing (EMDR), the Ego State approach of Attachment Focused Trauma Therapy for Adults (AFTT-A), and Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT).
I would be honored to walk with you or your teen on the journey to hope and healing.
